HOW DOES INVISALIGN WORK?
The Invisalign patient experience starts with an initial online consultation. Here you will discover how this treatment will work for you as well as the treatment options, how long the treatment will last, and how much it will cost you. You will be shown how your teeth and bite will move throughout every stage of the Invisalign treatment, by being moved using gentle pressure into the right position leaving you with wonderfully straight teeth and an even, symmetrical smile.
A series of transparent plastic aligners will also be custom-made for your treatment, based on 3D images and moulds of your teeth. You'll be required to wear each of these tailor-made aligners for 2 weeks before having them replaced by the next aligner in the series. Each aligner in the series will softly shift your teeth towards the intended position.
Depending on the requirements of the patient and the amount of time the aligners are worn on a daily basis, treatment will generally last between 6 and 15 months. Patients should wear their aligners for a minimum of 22 hours per day, and should only be taken out to eat, drink and clean. Invisalign will straighten your teeth with a lower level of pain, than what can be experienced through the wearing of wires and brackets during treatment with metal braces.
WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY
“I had Invisalign treatment with Harley Street, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome and the service. After researching various Specialists, I ended up paying Specialist Orthodontist Harley Street a visit. I was very pleased with the service, as the team made me feel comfortable, and provided me with the advice and information I needed before the treatment began. The team gave me concise and very clear details, which was much needed as I am a bit of a details freak when it comes to very important issues. They also ensured that I was 100% informed and certain before the procedure even began. I am very happy that I went ahead with the procedure, and now my teeth are getting closer to how I want them to be and look. Thanks Harley Street, would highly recommend.”

WHAT CAN INVISALIGN CORRECT?
Invisalign is a treatment system that effectively alleviates a variety of orthodontic problems and cosmetic issues. From misaligned teeth to serious malocclusions (bite alignment), the clear aligners we use can treat a whole range of cases. If you are someone who suffers from an overbite, an underbite, crossbite, or has crooked teeth, Invisalign might be the most easy and effective solution that is available to you.
Overbite/Overjet
This refers to a person's upper teeth protruding past the teeth that are on the bottom. As a result of this, a gap is created between the top and bottom teeth when the person bites down. There are numerous possible causes for an overbite developing and they cannot be controlled. With Invisalign however, overbites can be treated. Plus, the treatment is shorter and less invasive than treatment using traditional braces.
Underbite
An underbite is when the set of teeth on the bottom protrude past those on the top when you bite teeth your together. While children are able to grow-out of an underbite with their jaw position correcting itself naturally over time, adults must seek treatment in order to correct their underbite. By gradually moving the positioning of the teeth and your bite, the Invisalign system can successfully rectify an underbite.
Crossbite
This refers to a bite where teeth are on the inside when they are supposed to be on the outside. While this is primarily an oral health problem that can create further oral health problems if left untreated, a crossbite is sometimes viewed as an aesthetic concern. If you opt for your free online Invisalign consultation, your teeth and bite will receive a thorough examination.
Overcrowding
Overcrowding is when there is an inadequate amount of room for the teeth that are in either the top or bottom jaw, or both. Overcrowding may be a consequence of the size of the individual's mouth, the teeth, or even due to the positioning of the bigger back teeth (wisdom teeth, molars, second molars). Overlapping or crooked teeth can be caused by overcrowding. Through a complex and effective process, Invisalign can eliminate overcrowding in your mouth.
Unevenly Spaced Teeth
A problem that affects many of us, unevenly spaced teeth can also be alleviated via the use of the Invisalign system. By harnessing impressive forms of technology, Invisalign aligners are able to alter or create spaces between your teeth, resulting in improved alignment and better harmony between the upper and lower sets on teeth in your mouth.
SmileView
Would you like to see how your smile could improve with Invisalign? You can try on your new smile using SmileView, which uses one of your selfies to give you a sneak peek of your smile after Invisalign treatment. If you'd like straighter teeth but don't know where to begin, using SmileView to visualise your new smile is a great place to start. Try on your Invisalign Smile.

Why Choose a Specialist Orthodontist?
Specialist orthodontists are dentists who have more training and experience providing orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign. Patients that receive orthodontics from a specialist find that their treatment is of higher quality, they finish treatment much sooner, and the level of care they receive is much higher.
Due to advances in aligner technology, we no longer offer fixed braces as a treatment option. Our specialists have found that removable aligners such as Invisalign are more likely to result in successful treatment, and are safer for the patient compared to traditional braces. Even if you have been told that fixed are your only option by other practitioners; our specialists are confident we will be able to treat your orthodontic problems using this modern treatment.
