We hope this email finds you safe and in good-spirits during the current outbreak. With the lockdown in effect, it may feel like your ideal smile couldn't be further away. However, with our new virtual consultations, you can still start the journey towards straighter teeth and a more confident smile.
In our April newsletter you can find out more about how our virtual consultations can be used to help your smile. Also, discover how we can help with an open bite, and read all about the latest milestone reached by one of our specialist orthodontists.
If you require emergency orthodontic support, our orthodontic helpline is still open. You can reach our orthodontic helpline by calling 073 6835 8296.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to offer in-practice consultations. However, we are now offering virtual consultations via Smilemate to patients, including initial consultations and follow-up consultations. This new dental tool means we can review any improvements we can make to your smile without needing a physical appointment.
An initial virtual consultation consists of a video conference with a member of our orthodontic team. During the call, our orthodontist can ask you questions, answer any queries, and check the health of your teeth remotely. When we are able to begin accepting in-practice consultations again, you'll be able to quickly start your journey towards a straighter smile.
During a virtual follow-up consultation, our specialist orthodontists can check the progress of your orthodontic treatment. In addition, they can give you guidance and help alleviate any concerns you may have regarding your aligners. By using this remote, virtual consultation, you can continue your progress towards your dream smile.
If you're thinking of straightening your teeth, a virtual appointment can help you begin your journey towards a straighter smile. Book your virtual appointment via our website.
Every smile is unique, which is why there can be a number of different problems for orthodontics to rectify. One of these is an open bite, which is where the upper and lower sets of teeth don't meet at the front of your smile, resulting in a horizontal gap between your teeth.
There are several reasons why a person might want to correct this orthodontic problem. An open bite can be embarrassing for the individual due to the visual concerns of teeth sticking out. It can also cause problems with biting or chewing certain foods, such as apples. In some cases, an open bite can also cause speech problems.
If you're suffering from an open bite, we can help. By utilising modern Invisalign aligners, we can plan your treatment to correct and straighten your teeth, giving you a more natural bite. Contact us today to find out more.
